I have been working in application and server support since 2007. I originally worked on the sequencing of applications App-V (when it was still known as Softricity SoftGrid) and delivery of the sequenced applications to 3rd parties using Citrix XenApp (the technology formally known as Presentation Server)
I am not quite sure how this blog will grow and develop or if it will even get off the ground. My intention at the moment is to give a beginner’s guide on XenApp 6.5, how to set up a My Citrix account, where to download the sources, how to get licenses, how to install and configure, etc. My aim is to basically gather and consolidate all the information I would liked to have had when I started working with XenApp and its related technologies.
I have been a frequent user and consumer of technical advice and tips off the internet and a less than enthusiastic contributor. This is something I hope to change. I hope to use this blog as a repository for my current knowledge and for the knowledge I will be building up in the coming months and years.
Now for disclaimer:
This is my first foray into the blogosphere so please be gentle, I may get some things wrong so feel free to point me in the right direction when the opportunity presents. Feel free to test my findings on your own TEST systems. I will not be held responsible for any changes you make to Production systems using information gained from this blog. The opinions which I present here are entirely my own. I carry out all installations, configurations and testing discussed in this blog on my own personal systems, using my own license keys and in my own time. This blog is not in any way affiliated with my current employers.
